than a directory. It is a place to do your business directly with shippers
and other transport carrier affiliated intermediaries.
It is a place where you can make your documents available either publicly or
privately using secure authentication procedures.
It is a place where you can receive public or private shipper load or shipment
tenders directly and send, receive, exchange and electronically sign all
necessary shipping documents.
It is a place where you can post your equipment status, available capacities for
public, private viewing or radial search by the shipping community seeking your
desired lanes of transport.
The national transport carrier directory is a state by state listing of transport carrier.
Only asset based carriers with at least one tractor and trailer is allowed on
the Transport Carrier Directory. Any transport carrier must be
Pre-qualified before listing. Pre-qualification consists of having a
direct link to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's database.
In addition the Transport Carrier must have for public viewing at the company's
listing a scanned copy of operating authorities and a current scanned ACCORD
form as evidence of adequate insurance coverage.
